Pastors and Ministry Workers ‘Time Away’ Retreat

 Jesus told his disciples to rest. He knew that they needed a place away from the bus-i-ness of caring for people. He knew that they needed a place of solitude and refreshment.

He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while.” Mark 6:31

Our goal is to provide a place that pastors can come without the extra financial strain. So we are asking others to donate, part or total, of the cost of the retreat for a pastor.

Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine. For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.” 1 Timothy 5:17-18

The Honking Goose Inn provides a place for Pastors and Ministry Workers to find that rest.

We provide:

Five days and nights of rest and renewal

A place already saturated with prayer

Prayer for the guest, before, during and after their visit

If desired, personal prayer

Private rooms and bath

Wooded trails on 91 acres

Small lake for swimming, fishing and paddle boat

7 person hot tub

Breakfast and Dinner daily

And special attention to the individual needs of each guest

It is during the times of rest and seeking God that He often reveals His plans for us. It is our special prayer that each visitor to The Honking Goose will leave with a deeper knowledge of God and His will for them.

THOSE WISHING TO DONATE A PASTOR’S RETREAT                                                                     

Retreat fee: $500 includes lodging & 2 meals a day for 5 days for 2 people who share a room. Any size donation is appreciated and will go towards a pastors retreat.  Please use the donate button below or you may send a check to The Honking Goose Inn designated for a pastor’s retreat.  Also let us know if you wish to donate to a specific pastor.

 PASTORS 

Please contact us to reserve your free retreat. You will be put on a list and as funds are available you will be contacted, in the order of your reservation date, to schedule your retreat. The retreat is for two – so please bring your spouse or a guest.
